Individual Lesson Packages
Good golf techniques are simple to learn but must be
reinforced to be effective. Our individual lesson plans start
with an in-depth interview with each of our students. This
helps our instructors understand current level of play, how
much the student practices, improvement objectives, shot
tendencies, current club set makeup, and mental approach
to the game. We can then recommend which package would
best help the student accomplish his or her goals. All lessons
average 45 minutes in length, with practice time available
after the lesson.
Our Instructors
David Clay, PGA- Director of Instruction
During his legendary career, David Clay played on the World Tour (including 5 British Opens) and was Director of Golf and a premier instructor at one of Europe's most prestigious contry clubs. David moved to the United States in the early 1980's, spending 13 years with Arnold Palmer as Director of Instruction. He has designed, instituted and coached successful junior programs resulting in college, PGA and LPGA players.

Ken Jack, PGA- General Manager
Ken has been instructing since 1991. Before arriving at Houston National Ken served as the general manager at Magnolia Creek Golf Links in League City. Prior to that Ken served as the director of golf at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club just outside of Portland, Oregon and later became the director of golf operations at Somerby Golf Club just outside Rochester in his home state of Minnesota. While Ken spends the majority of his time managing the operation at Houston National he will always set aside time to work with students of all skill levels.

Kelly Lotton, PGA- Head Golf Professional
Kelly has been instructing golf at all levels since 1986 and has been a Class A Member of the PGA since 1991. Before moving to Houston, Kelly served as General Manager and Head Golf Professional at Willowbend Golf Club in Wichita, KS for 10 years. In 2000, he assumed the duties of Head Golf Professional at Willow Creek Golf Club here in Houston. Kelly joined the staff at Houston National Golf Club June 2008 and is looking forward to serving the golf instructional needs of Houston National patrons.
